What to Do With Your Dog on LBI – Long Beach Island Dog Parks
Living at the beach has its perks for sure but a lot of the time a big backyard for your dog to run around is not one of them. Don’t worry though because LBI has some pretty great dog parks you can bring your best friend to go play.
Barnegat Light Dog Park
This park is located at 15 W 10th St in Barnegat Light at the North end of the island.
Park Hours: 8:30am-8:00pm April to October
8:00am-5:00pm October-April
All dog park users MUST obtain a dog park gate entry card (“Paw Pass”) & a dog park tag. Passes are free for Barnegat Light residents and for non-residents the annual fee is $30 and the weekly fee is $15. Find more information on the boroughs website here.
Long Beach Township Dog Park
This park is located right in front of the Township Municipal building at 6805 Long Beach Blvd in Brant Beach.
This park is great! It’s right across from Bayview Park and is equipped with a water station and double gate entry. There is plenty of space for your dog to run around and get their exercise for the day.
Beach Haven Doggy Bay
This park is located on Taylor Ave in Beach Haven right behind Bay Village and Thundering Surf Water Park.
This park is great for those dogs who love the water! It is shallow enough that your dog can run in and jump around or go after a ball. It’s perfect for a hot summer day when your dog needs to cool off but also get some exercise!
When visiting all these parks don’t forget to be courteous and clean up after your dog and also make sure they are up to date on all their shots!
FYI: Dogs are only allowed on LBI beaches from October 2nd-April 30th!
